KPMG Australia — the Criteria assessment stage

Graduate and vacationer programmes (Australia)

KPMG Australia’s official graduate and vacationer FAQ says its online assessments are “delivered by our partner, CriteriaCorp” and asks candidates to complete them within 48 hours; the FAQ describes a timed game-based cognitive assessment and an untimed workplace-behaviours assessment without naming products. Prep guides and Whirlpool candidate threads identify them as Cognify — Criteria’s game-based cognitive test — followed by Emotify, its 20-minute emotional-intelligence test, ahead of a video interview and assessment centre. Criteria’s US default Cognify runs three games (Grid Lock, Numbubbles, Proof It) in about 10 minutes plus tutorials, while the six-game, 20-minute version is available on request and was documented as the regional default in Criteria’s earlier APAC materials; KPMG does not publish which configuration it uses. Criteria offers no official practice for Cognify or Emotify.

Where the assessment sits in the process

  1. 1
    Step 1 — Online application

Graduate and vacationer applications through KPMG Australia’s careers site.

  2. 2
Step 2 — Criteria online assessments (48-hour window)

A timed game-based cognitive assessment (identified by prep guides and candidates as Cognify), then a workplace-behaviours assessment (identified as Emotify). Candidates report progressing to Emotify after passing Cognify.

  3. 3
Step 3 — Video interview and assessment centre

Reported by prep guides and candidate threads as the stages after the Criteria assessments.

Practice the reported KPMG Australia games

KPMG’s FAQ confirms Criteria as the assessment partner but never names Cognify or Emotify — that identification rests on prep guides and Whirlpool candidate threads, so every task here is reported, not confirmed. Grid Lock, Numbubbles and Proof It are in every Cognify configuration; Short Cuts, Resemble and Tally Up appear only in the six-game version documented in Criteria’s earlier APAC materials — practise all six. One caution: the FAQ calls the second assessment untimed, whereas Criteria describes Emotify as a timed ability test, so confirm the second instrument from your own invitation. Criteria offers no official practice for Cognify or Emotify.

Every Cognify game is free with unlimited plays — browse the full six-game suite.

All three Emotify parts are free with unlimited plays — practice Emotify.
