Ran out of time in one section?
Compare the tasks you reached with the section’s length. Practice that test on its own, untimed first, then on its clock.
Pick the Aon tests your invitation names and run them back to back on Aon’s timings: numerical 12 minutes, verbal 12, scales ix 5, scales clx 6 and scales cls 12. Then review every task.

Aon’s ability tests carry a product code and a plain-English name. Find the ones in your invitation, then practice each one or run them together.

chatAssess and ADEPT-15 are behavioral assessments (a chat-style situational judgment test and a personality questionnaire), not timed ability tests. Aon’s candidate page lists every test.
Run the full practice test, take one scales test on its clock, or learn a test untimed with the rule explained after each task. Each card shows your account’s access.
Default sections, in order
Choose two to five sections. Each opens with untimed instructions and warm-ups, then runs on Aon’s clock. One combined review at the end.
Presets from the tests our employer pages report. Untick anything your invitation does not name.
Which object breaks the rule the other eight share?
Example scales ix task
Nine objects in a row. Eight follow one rule; pick the one that breaks it.
Which two grids follow the same rule as the examples?
Two example grids follow a rule. Pick the two of four grids that follow it too.
Which set does each unmarked grid belong to?
Orange bar: set A. Blue bar: set B.
Six marked grids in two sets. Assign four unmarked grids to the right set.

Example scales ix task
Six tasks with no clock. After each answer you see the rule and why each choice is right or wrong.

Numerical or verbal on its own? Use the Aon numerical reasoning and Aon verbal reasoning drills and timed tests.
Eight of these nine objects follow one rule. Select the one that does not, then check your answer. This example is free and does not use a practice attempt.
Which object does not follow the rule?
Compare the tasks you reached with the section’s length. Practice that test on its own, untimed first, then on its clock.
Numerical, verbal and scales cls take a point for every wrong answer. In numerical and verbal, leave a statement blank when you cannot settle it; in scales cls, check every grid before you move on.
Open the task in the review. Each one names the rule and says why the odd object or the wrong grids fail it.
Check the per-grid credit in the review. Test one candidate rule against all three grids of a set before assigning anything.
You choose the sections your invitation names: numerical reasoning (37 statements, 12 minutes), verbal reasoning (49 statements, 12 minutes), scales ix (20 tasks, 5 minutes), scales clx (as many tasks as you can in 6 minutes) and scales cls (12 tasks, 12 minutes). They run back to back in that order, each on its own clock, with untimed instructions and breaks between them.
Tick the tests your invitation names. Employers choose their own modules: our employer pages report numerical reasoning and scales cls for Nomura, numerical reasoning and scales ix for Morgan Stanley, and numerical, verbal and inductive tests for UBS. A practice test needs at least two sections, including one inductive test; numerical and verbal on their own have their own practice pages.
Each section opens with untimed instructions. The scales ix, clx and cls sections offer two untimed warm-up tasks, and numerical and verbal show a worked example. The section clock starts only when you select Start section and keeps running in background tabs and after a reload. Breaks between sections are untimed.
Each section is scored on its own. Numerical, verbal and scales cls show a net score, correct answers minus wrong answers, so wrong answers count against you. scales ix and clx show correct answers and how many you answered. Scores appear at the end, with a review of every task.
Only scales clx does: it keeps serving tasks for 6 minutes and they get harder. The other sections have a fixed number of items: 37 numerical statements, 49 verbal statements, 20 ix tasks in rising difficulty and 12 cls tasks.
All of them are original. The scales ix, clx and cls tasks are generated fresh for each sitting from the rule types in Aon’s practice material and checked by a validator for a single correct answer. The numerical and verbal sections use our original company data packs, the same ones as our standalone numerical and verbal practice.
Many Aon invitations add timed games: gapChallenge (scales lst), switchChallenge (scales sx), digitChallenge or scales eql, gridChallenge and motionChallenge. Each has its own practice page, linked in the table above. chatAssess and ADEPT-15 are behavioral assessments, not timed ability tests.
The example on this page is free with no account and does not use an attempt. Each practice card shows your account’s access before you start. One Aon Practice Test pass covers the full practice test, the scales ix, clx and cls timed tests and their learning drills for its period. It is separate from the Aon Numerical, Aon Verbal, gapChallenge and smartPredict games passes. Saved reviews stay free.
