What does this ASVAB practice cover?
All ten enlistment ASVAB subject areas: General Science, Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Mathematics Knowledge, Electronics Information, Auto Information, Shop Information, Mechanical Comprehension and Assembling Objects. You can choose a short subject drill, a full computer-format test, a full paper-format test or practice limited to the four AFQT subjects. Every question and explanation is original.
Which practice should I start with?
Start with a ten-question drill in a subject you want to improve. Arithmetic Reasoning, Mathematics Knowledge, Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension contribute to the AFQT score. The other subjects matter for military job qualifications. Use a full simulation when you want to rehearse your pacing across sections.
Is a practice percentage the same as an AFQT score?
No. Our results show correct answers to our question bank. Official ASVAB results use standardized, equated scores; the AFQT is a percentile derived from four subtests. Our practice percentage cannot be converted into an official AFQT percentile, military line score or job qualification.
Is the computer-format practice adaptive?
Our computer-format simulation follows the official scored-item counts, section limits and forward-only navigation, but uses a fixed original practice form. It is not adaptive and has no unscored tryout items. Official CAT-ASVAB chooses questions using an adaptive scoring model and may include tryouts with different time allowances.
Can I use a calculator or take a break?
Practice without a calculator and use scratch paper. In our simulations, an active section’s timer continues if you reload or leave the tab. You can pause between sections and resume in the same browser; these practice breaks are recorded. This is a preparation convenience, not the break policy for an official testing appointment.
What can I practice for free?
Public examples, subject lessons and guides are free to read. If your account includes free drill attempts, each of the ten subject drills has its own first attempt. One ASVAB pass covers all drill replays and full practice tests. Saved scores, progress and explanations stay free after the pass ends. Access is shown before you start.
Does this also help with PiCAT or the school ASVAB?
The subject skills overlap. Use our untimed subject drills to study for PiCAT and check the PiCAT guide for its separate verification process. Our full simulations use enlistment formats. The school Career Exploration Program differs and omits Assembling Objects; we do not label an enlistment simulation as the school test.
