Our combined battery is deliberately shorter than an assessment day. The tasks, timings and controls are our own, including coordination with keyboard or on-screen controls. It is not a licensed test simulation.
Review mistakes, missed signals and response timing. Practice scores do not establish a national or enhanced pass, or predict an employer’s hiring decision.

Common questions
Which train driver tests can I practice here?
Choose original drills in dot concentration, tone counting, divided attention, rules and memory, dials, visual vigilance, scene memory and two-axis coordination. A combined timed session brings the eight skills together. The guide explains how these abilities relate to assessment names you may see in an invitation.
Is this the official train driver assessment?
No. Our exercises, controls, timing and scoring are independently designed. They are not licensed copies of Group Bourdon, TEA-Occ, TRP, WAFV, ATAVT or 2HAND. Use the material supplied with your invitation to learn the actual assessment instructions.
Do all train companies use the same tests?
There is a GB mainline psychometric selection standard, but employers can add screening tests, interviews and higher cutoffs. Your invitation identifies what you will take. Enhanced does not mean one universal extra test or pass mark.
Can I try the drills for free?
An eligible short drill offers one free attempt. The practice button shows your access after sign-in; some accounts need a pass before starting. One train driver pass covers combined practice and drill replays for the selected period. Saved scores and explanations remain available without buying another pass.
Does a high practice score mean I will pass?
No. Our results help you review accuracy, missed targets, false alarms and timing on our own tasks. They are not national or enhanced pass marks and do not predict an employer decision.
Are only two assessment attempts allowed?
Not for every candidate. The standard changed on December 7, 2024. The applicable attempt limit and waiting periods depend on when you first took part in the standardized assessment process and on your assessment history. Read the current RSSB/RACF guidance and have the recruiting operator confirm how it applies to you.
What equipment should I use?
Use a desktop or laptop with a physical keyboard, a pointing device and working audio for the timed drills. Check your sound before a listening task. Coordination supports keyboard and on-screen controls; neither reproduces the licensed two-joystick or two-knob apparatus. Use the same input setup when comparing practice results.
Can I prepare for the interview here?
The study guide includes private prompts to organize real examples of following instructions, communicating clearly and handling pressure. These are unscored reflection exercises, not an official interview or a set of answers to memorize.
