Understanding Emotions

Emotional Ties

Emotional Ties is Emotify’s second part: short everyday situations appear as sentence cards, each followed by a slot, and you fill each slot with the expression that person would most likely show — choosing from six expressions of the same face. Some rounds chain two events; some involve two people. Criteria’s brief confirms 20 rounds with a one-minute maximum each, and its own tutorial shows the six-face picker and select-then-submit flow.

02

Choose the expression that fits from six faces of the same person, then Select.

04

20 rounds, up to 60 seconds each; no feedback during play.

In the real assessment

The 20-round / 60-second structure and three round formats are confirmed by Criteria’s InfoBrief; the six-expression picker and select/submit flow come from Criteria’s own tutorial animation. The exact number of slots per round and the reuse rule are inferred from that tutorial. Candidates report that two faces often look plausible — go with the most obvious reading.
