About Game Assessment Prep
Game Assessment Prep (gameassessmentprep.com) is a digital platform providing training simulations, practice exercises, and preparation resources designed to help candidates excel in HireVue-style gamified assessments used by employers in hiring and recruitment processes. All products and services are delivered entirely in digital form and are made accessible immediately upon completion of payment. No physical goods are supplied at any time.
Because our digital content is delivered and accessible immediately upon purchase, all sales are generally final, and we have specific refund conditions to ensure fairness for both our customers and our business.
The terms of this policy reflect the nature of digital content delivery and are consistent with applicable consumer protection laws, including provisions that permit the exclusion or waiver of statutory withdrawal rights where digital content has been accessed upon purchase.
1. General Policy — All Sales Are Final
All purchases made on gameassessmentprep.com are final, subject only to the specific exceptions expressly set out in this policy and any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the laws of your jurisdiction. Once you have been granted access to our platform, simulations, or resources, you will not be entitled to a refund except as expressly stated in Section 6 below.
Where applicable law permits the exclusion or waiver of a statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation in the case of digital content supplied immediately upon purchase, we exercise that right to the fullest extent permitted.
Customers who wish to evaluate our offering before committing are encouraged to review all product descriptions, feature lists, sample content, and FAQs available on our website prior to purchasing.
2. EU/EEA Customers — Express Waiver of Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer located in a member state of the European Union or the European Economic Area, you may ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal from distance contracts under Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights (the Consumer Rights Directive).
IMPORTANT — Your completion of the checkout process constitutes conclusive evidence of your express consent for the following purposes
In accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium where performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent and their acknowledgment that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal.
By completing your purchase on our website, you expressly and unambiguously:
(a) request that Game Assessment Prep begins immediate performance of the contract and provides you with access to the digital content upon completion of payment; and
(b) acknowledge and confirm that, by granting this consent and requesting immediate access, you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law.
This acknowledgment is a condition of completing your purchase. If you do not consent, you must not proceed. Your completion of the checkout process constitutes conclusive evidence of your express consent for these purposes.
3. UK Customers — Express Waiver of Right of Cancellation
If you are a consumer located in the United Kingdom, you may ordinarily have a 14-day right of cancellation under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (SI 2013/3134) (the CCR 2013).
IMPORTANT — Your completion of the checkout process constitutes conclusive evidence of your express consent for the following purposes
In accordance with Regulation 37 of the CCR 2013, the right of cancellation ceases to apply to a contract for the supply of digital content (not on a tangible medium) once performance has begun, provided the consumer gave their prior express consent to the commencement of performance during the cancellation period and acknowledged that their right of cancellation would thereby be lost.
By completing your purchase on our website, you expressly and unambiguously:
(a) request that Game Assessment Prep commences supply of the digital content and that performance begins immediately upon completion of payment; and
(b) acknowledge and confirm that you understand and accept that you lose your 14-day right of cancellation under the CCR 2013 by granting this consent.
This acknowledgment is a condition of completing your purchase. If you do not consent, you must not proceed. Your completion of the checkout process constitutes conclusive evidence of your express consent for these purposes.
4. US Customers
Game Assessment Prep is a digital content provider. Under US federal law and the laws of most US states, there is no general statutory right to a refund for digital content once delivered and accessed. Our no-refund policy applies to all US customers except in the specific circumstances set out in Section 6 of this policy.
5. Australian Customers — Australian Consumer Law
If you are located in Australia, you have rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which forms Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). Nothing in this Refund Policy limits, excludes, modifies, or restricts any right, guarantee, or remedy you have under the ACL to the extent that such limitation, exclusion, modification, or restriction would be unlawful.
Under the ACL, consumers may be entitled to a refund where a product or service has a major failure, such as a confirmed technical fault on our side. According to Section 6 of this policy, you may be entitled to a Refund in such a case.
For the avoidance of doubt, dissatisfaction with your personal performance or outcomes in employer assessments after using our preparation tools does not constitute a major or minor failure under the ACL. Our product is preparation and training content — not a guarantee of any particular hiring or assessment outcome.
6. Circumstances in Which a Refund May Be Granted
Notwithstanding the general no-refund policy in Section 1, we may grant a refund in the following specific and limited circumstances:
6.1 Verified Technical Fault
If you are wholly unable to access or use the platform due to a confirmed technical fault on our side, and the fault cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe after being reported to our support team, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund proportionate to the access denied.
Technical faults must be reported promptly to hi@gameassessmentprep.com and must be verified by our technical team.
Faults arising from your own device, browser, operating system, internet connection, or any third-party software or hardware are expressly excluded.
6.2 Accidental Duplicate Charge
If you were charged more than once for the same product or subscription period as a result of a payment processing error, the duplicate charge will be refunded in full once verified. You must provide supporting transaction evidence, such as bank or card statements, to support your claim.
6.3 Mandatory Statutory Rights
Where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable mandatory consumer protection law, we will honor it in full consistent with our legal obligations.
7. Circumstances in Which Refunds Will Not Be Granted
The following circumstances do not qualify for a refund under any circumstances, except where mandatory applicable law expressly requires a remedy that cannot be excluded:
- Partial or full use of the product, platform, simulations, or any features thereof prior to requesting a refund;
- Dissatisfaction with the difficulty level of assessments, simulations, or exercises;
- Failure to achieve a desired job application result, interview success, or hiring outcome;
- Incompatibility caused by your device, browser, operating system, or internet connection;
- Forgetting to cancel a subscription before it auto-renews;
- Change of mind after purchase and access to the content;
- Failure to read product descriptions, feature lists, system requirements, or FAQs before purchasing;
- Purchase made on behalf of a third party without that party's authorization; or
- Refund requests submitted more than 7 days after the original purchase date will not be granted, except where mandatory applicable law provides for a longer period. The only exception is for verified technical faults that first appear after the 7-day period, which must still be reported within 7 days of their first occurrence.
8. Subscription Billing and Cancellations
8.1 Billing Cycles
Game Assessment Prep offers subscription plans billed on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan selected at checkout. Your billing cycle starts on the date your subscription is first activated and renews automatically on the same calendar date each following month or year, as applicable, unless canceled in advance.
8.2 Automatic Renewal
All active subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current subscription rate. It is your sole responsibility to cancel in advance if you do not wish to renew. Failure to cancel before the renewal date does not entitle you to a refund of the renewed charge, except where a refund is available under Section 6 or where mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.
8.3 No Pro-Rata Refunds on Cancellation
We do not offer pro-rata or partial refunds for unused portions of any subscription period, whether monthly or annual. If you cancel your subscription partway through a billing cycle, you will retain full access to the platform until the end of the current paid period. No refund will be issued for remaining unused days, weeks, or months. Access terminates automatically at the end of the paid cycle.
8.4 How to Cancel
To cancel your subscription, you may:
(a) log in to your account, navigate to the Profile page, and click the button in the "Billing Details" section, which will redirect you to the subscription management page (if this feature is available on your account); or
(b) email us at hi@gameassessmentprep.com. Email cancellations are processed within 7 business days. You will receive a cancellation confirmation email once processed — please retain this as proof. Cancellation is not complete until you receive this written confirmation from us.
If you email a cancellation request before the renewal date, the cancellation will be treated as received on that date, even if processing and confirmation occur later.
9. Refund Request Process
If you believe you are entitled to a refund under this policy, you must follow the process below. Requests that do not comply with this process may not be actioned or may be subject to delay.
Step 1 — Contact Our Support Team
Email us at hi@gameassessmentprep.com. Your email must include: (a) your full name; (b) the email address associated with your account; (c) your order or transaction reference number; (d) the date of purchase; and (e) a clear and detailed description of the reason for your request and the basis on which you believe you are entitled to a refund under this policy.
Step 2 — Provide Supporting Documentation
Depending on the nature of your claim, we may ask you to provide supporting documentation, which may include: screenshots or screen recordings of technical errors or access failures; bank or payment statements evidencing duplicate charges; or any other evidence relevant to your claim. Failure to provide requested documentation within 7 business days of our request will always result in your refund request being closed without further action, except where mandatory law provides for a longer period.
Step 3 — Review and Verification
Our team will review your request and respond with a decision within 5 business days of receiving all required information. We may carry out reasonable verification steps — including checking access logs, account activity, and payment records — before reaching a decision. If additional information is required during review, we will contact you promptly.
Step 4 — Outcome and Processing
If your refund request is approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of the approval date. Processing times may vary depending on your bank, card issuer, or payment provider. You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been dispatched. Game Assessment Prep is not responsible for delays caused by third-party financial institutions or payment providers after the refund has been issued on our side.
10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
10.1 Pre-Dispute Contact Requirement
Before initiating any chargeback, payment dispute, or payment reversal request with your bank, card issuer, or payment service provider, you are required to contact us directly using the refund request process in Section 9. We are committed to resolving all legitimate disputes fairly and promptly, with an internal resolution target of 5 business days. The vast majority of issues can be resolved without third-party escalation.
10.2 Consequences of Unilateral Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us and allowing us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the matter, or where a chargeback is determined to be without merit under this policy, the following consequences apply:
- Your account will be immediately and permanently suspended and all access to the platform terminated without further notice;
- We reserve the right to pursue recovery of amounts improperly reversed by chargeback, together with all associated dispute fees and costs;
- We may report the dispute to payment processors, fraud prevention networks, and relevant financial agencies to the extent permitted by applicable law; and
- We reserve the right to commence legal proceedings to recover all losses, costs, and damages sustained as a result of an unwarranted chargeback.
10.3 Fraudulent Chargebacks
Filing a chargeback that you know to be without merit — for example, claiming non-delivery of a product you have accessed, or disputing a charge you authorized — may constitute fraud under the laws of your jurisdiction. Game Assessment Prep treats all fraudulent chargeback activity with the utmost seriousness and will pursue all available civil and, where appropriate, criminal remedies.
11. Refund Abuse and Fraud Prevention
Game Assessment Prep actively monitors refund requests, chargeback filings, and account activity across all user accounts. Any of the following behaviors constitutes abuse of our refund policy and will result in immediate and permanent account suspension. We may also pursue civil legal action, report the matter to payment processors, and where appropriate, refer the matter to law enforcement:
- Multiple refund requests from the same account, associated accounts, or using the same payment method;
- Initiating a chargeback after accessing, viewing, completing, or using any portion of our digital content;
- Providing false, misleading, or fabricated information in connection with a refund or dispute;
- Creating multiple accounts to exploit our refund policy; or
- Any other pattern of conduct we reasonably determine constitutes abuse of our refund process or fraudulent activity.
Accounts permanently suspended for abuse will not be reinstated under any circumstances. No refund will be issued upon termination of an account for abuse or fraud. We reserve the right to take all necessary legal steps to recover losses caused by such activity.
12. Limitation of Liability
A refund granted in accordance with this policy constitutes the sole and exclusive financial remedy available to you in connection with your purchase from Game Assessment Prep. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- Game Assessment Prep shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your purchase, access to, or use (or inability to use) our products, including but not limited to loss of earnings, loss of employment opportunity, or damage to professional or personal reputation; and
- Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by you for the specific product or subscription giving rise to the claim.
13. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution, and Contact
13.1 Governing Law
This Refund Policy and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it (including non-contractual disputes) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Game Assessment Prep operates (Italy). Nothing in this clause affects any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of habitual residence that cannot be derogated from by agreement.
13.2 Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute or claim arising in connection with this policy or a purchase from Game Assessment Prep, we strongly encourage you to contact us in the first instance at hi@gameassessmentprep.com and we will make every reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the matter amicably within 10 business days.
