Combine data from different sources, interpret information and apply rules under a separate clock.
One AMCAT pass covers every timed test and all drill replays. If your account includes free first attempts, you can try each short drill once.
These are fixed practice forms, not AMCAT’s adaptive test. Your invitation determines the modules and timings you will actually take. Compare the formats.

Common questions
What is AMCAT?
AMCAT is an employability assessment with aptitude, language, personality and skill-specific modules. The modules you need depend on your institution or employer invitation. This preparation covers English, quantitative ability, logical ability and information gathering and synthesis.
What does this AMCAT practice include?
Ten six-question drills, a 48-question general core test, a 48-question technical core test and a separate 12-question information gathering and synthesis test. The technical core adds advanced quantitative topics; it is not a programming or engineering subject test. Every scored question has a worked explanation and your completed attempts can be saved.
Is the practice adaptive?
No. AMCAT describes its official assessment as adaptive. Our original practice forms use a planned topic and difficulty mix, with questions selected before you start. They teach the skills and simulate time pressure without reproducing AMCAT’s proprietary adaptation or score scale.
How long are the practice tests?
Both core tests contain 18 English questions in 16 minutes, 16 quantitative questions in 18 minutes and 14 logical questions in 16 minutes: 48 questions and 50 minutes in total. Information gathering and synthesis is a separate 12-question, 15-minute test. These are named practice forms. Official pages publish different core timings, so check your current invitation.
Which attempts are free?
If your account includes free first attempts, you can try each short drill once. One AMCAT pass covers drill replays and all three timed tests during your chosen period. Some accounts require a pass before scored practice. The public example and study guide are free, and saved results and explanations remain available after your pass expires.
Can I use a calculator?
Our practice is designed for working with pen and paper without a calculator. This is a practice choice, not a claim about every AMCAT delivery. Follow the calculator, rough-paper and other tool instructions in your own assessment invitation.
Does this include AMPI or coding modules?
The study guide explains how to approach the personality questionnaire honestly. It is not a scored AMPI simulation. Coding, Automata, Automata Fix, spoken English and specialist subject modules are not included in this pass. Use the module names in your invitation to decide what additional preparation you need.
Will my practice score predict my AMCAT result?
No. Your result shows correct answers, completion and practice progress. It does not convert to an official AMCAT score, percentile, employer cutoff or shortlist prediction. Review mistakes and aim for consistent accuracy on unfamiliar questions under the relevant section clocks.
Are these official AMCAT questions?
No. These are original independent teaching and practice questions. Game Assessment Prep is not affiliated with or endorsed by AMCAT, Aspiring Minds or SHL.
