Numerical Reasoning

Numbubbles

Numbubbles shows a target number and bubbles carrying small equations that fade in, linger and fade out; pop every bubble whose equation equals the target before it disappears. Equations ramp from simple two-number sums to bracketed three-number expressions and negative targets. It is in every Cognify battery, including the three-game US default. A candidate session recording pins the format at 10 rounds of 20 seconds each and reveals streak-based scoring: each consecutive correct pop is worth one more star than the last, up to five, and a wrong pop resets the streak.

How to Play

01

A target number appears; bubbles with equations fade in around it.

02

Pop every bubble whose equation equals the target — wrong pops reset your streak.

03

Each round lasts 20 seconds; there are 10 rounds.

04

Consecutive correct pops are worth 1, 2, 3, 4, then 5 stars each.

In the real assessment

The 10 × 20-second structure and bubble behaviour are first-hand confirmed from a candidate session recording (a circulating “9 seconds per target” figure is wrong). The streak scoring rule is fitted exactly to every observed round total in that session rather than published anywhere; spawn rates and bubble lifetimes for late rounds are estimated.

Companies reported to use Numbubbles

Candidates report seeing Numbubbles in assessments for these employers. Game lineups can change by role, region, and recruiting cycle, so check your invitation before practicing.
