Alva Logic practice

Alva Logic is an adaptive assessment of reasoning with visual patterns. You complete a three-by-three matrix by choosing its missing figure from six options. A valid pattern must work across every row and down every column; diagonal rules do not count. Alva also offers a separate personality assessment, which this practice does not simulate.

Alva describes 20 scored questions, with up to two minutes for each question, preceded by two practice examples. It says most candidates finish in 15–20 minutes; the 20 question timers allow up to 40 minutes of active answering. Our timed mode has 20 questions and the same per-question limit. Our learning mode has 12 questions without a timer.

Official instructions say questions must be dealt with when presented and cannot be revisited. They mention breaks but do not publish their exact allowance. In our practice, select an option and press Submit answer before the timer ends. Expired questions count as unanswered even if you had selected an option. Continue opens the next question and starts its timer, so you can take a break between questions. Those break controls are our practice design; follow your actual invitation.

No. In our full timed practice, the first three questions introduce increasing difficulty; subsequent selection responds to your answers using three editorial difficulty levels. Short drills stay within their chosen rule group. Alva uses a calibrated item bank and statistical ability estimation. Our adaptive-style practice teaches reasoning and pacing, but cannot reproduce its official scoring or estimate your Alva result.

The bank progresses from individual transformations to combinations involving position, shape, fill, direction, and tile composition. Later items require you to keep track of several rules. The examples teach those ideas before the clock starts. Difficulty is editorial until learner data supports calibration; we do not claim that a particular practice result matches the real test.

There is no universal hiring cutoff established by the sources used for this guide. Employers decide how to use assessment results. Your practice review reports correct answers, unanswered questions, time spent on each item, and worked solutions. It does not convert those results to an official Alva score, IQ, percentile, or chance of receiving an offer.

No. Adaptive Matrigma is a different provider’s matrix assessment with different timing. PI Cognitive combines verbal, numerical, and abstract questions on one short overall clock. This track focuses on Alva’s 20-task visual matrix format. Check the assessment named in your invitation before choosing practice.
