What to expect in the Tesco video interview
Question research coverage: UK Early Careers only — graduate schemes, apprenticeships and internships run out of Welwyn Garden City. The one-way video interview is a mandatory sift on HireVue, paired with a HireVue game-based assessment that sits immediately before it. Evidence does not support a video interview for hourly store colleague or customer assistant hiring, and Tesco Bank and Tesco Ireland run separate processes.
This mock uses a realistic HireVue-style timed format: 30 seconds to prepare, then recording starts automatically with a 2-minute cap — a common configuration, but employers choose their own settings, so Tesco's question count, timing, and retake allowance may differ. Practice retakes are unlimited here; many real configurations allow few or none, so treat your first take as the one that counts.
