CCAT

Crossover — the Criteria assessment stage

Remote roles across Crossover’s client companies — CCAT required for virtually all positions

Crossover requires the Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test (CCAT) for virtually every role as an early gate and later verifies performance with a proctored, webcam-monitored retake (the PCCAT) before hire. Crossover publishes its own CCAT and PCCAT guides, and its support FAQ sets the retake rule: one attempt per email address in any six-month period; using multiple email addresses leads to rejection; scores are not disclosed to candidates. The CCAT itself is Criteria’s 50-question, 15-minute multiple-choice test covering verbal ability, maths and logic, and spatial reasoning, with no calculator. Requirements vary by role, so follow the requirement in your own application. Crossover’s current CCAT guide names 12minprep.com as the exception to its ban on other preparation websites and warns of blacklisting for using banned resources. Our practice test is not an approved Crossover resource. Use Crossover’s official guidance and approved preparation links below; this is an employer-specific restriction, not a rule for every CCAT employer.

Crossover restricts preparation — use its approved resources

Crossover’s current CCAT guide bans preparation websites other than its explicitly approved exception, 12minprep.com, and warns of blacklisting for banned resources. Our CCAT practice test is not approved for Crossover. Follow its official guidance and the approved resources linked below.

Where the assessment sits in the process

  1. 1
    Step 1 — Online application

Apply to a role on crossover.com; the CCAT invitation follows as an early mandatory step for virtually all positions.

  2. 2
Step 2 — CCAT (online, unproctored)

50 multiple-choice questions in 15 minutes. One attempt per email address in any six-month period; a failing score is an automatic rejection, and scores are not shared with candidates.

  3. 3
    Later stages — role-specific

Further assessments and interviews depend on the role and client company; the CCAT and PCCAT are the two Criteria-test steps we verified.

  4. 4
Before hire — PCCAT (proctored retake)

A proctored, webcam-monitored retake of the CCAT verifies the original score before an offer.

What Crossover assesses

Crossover’s assessment requirements, retake rule and preparation restriction come from its own guides and support FAQ. Its CCAT guide names 12minprep.com as the approved exception to its ban on other preparation websites. We do not recommend our CCAT practice test for Crossover applicants.

CCAT (Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test)confirmedMandatory for virtually all roles, then re-verified under proctoring (PCCAT). Use Crossover’s official guide and approved preparation resources, including its named 12minprep exception. Our practice test is not approved for Crossover.
