Social Preference

Money Exchange 1

The pymetrics (Harver) Money Exchange 1 game is a one-shot Trust Game. Your transfer describes comfort relying on another person; it is a preference signal, not a skill score or a right/wrong question.

How to Play

01

You start with $10 and your algorithmic partner starts with $0. Choose how much to send, from $0 to $10 in $1 steps.

02

The sent amount triples in transit. After a short partner-decision pause, the partner returns part of the tripled amount.

03

Rate the exchange’s fairness from 0 to 10, then review the neutral Trust trait description and select Continue.

04

There is no correct answer and we will never score this preference game. Choose the transfer that honestly reflects you.

In the real assessment

The $10, ×3, one-shot mechanics are well supported, but pymetrics does not publish its algorithmic partner-return schedule. This reconstruction seeds a configurable 30–70% return and adds an educational trait reflection, never a score.
