Matrigma-style practice
Find the rules that connect a grid of shapes and choose the missing figure. Build your method without a clock, or practise making decisions under time pressure.
How this practice works
- Choose one of six answers, then select Next. You can also skip.
- After you move on, you cannot return to that question.
- Questions begin gently and adapt to your answers using our practice difficulty levels.
- When a question’s minute ends, your selected answer is submitted automatically; a blank stays unanswered. The 12-minute clock continues in background tabs and after reloads.
This adaptive-style practice uses our own difficulty rules. It does not reproduce the official adaptive algorithm or predict an official score.

These walkthroughs are untimed. Look for the rule, choose an answer in your head, then reveal the explanation.

Count the marks; their layout is a counting aid. Add the first two counts to get the third. The complete rows show 2 + 2 = 4 and 3 + 3 = 6. The bottom row therefore gives 3 + 4 = 7. Keep the same shape and fill.

The shapes cycle square → triangle → circle and then repeat, moving one step forward across a row or down a column. Every row and column contains each shape once. The bottom row and rightmost column both need triangles. Keep the positions and fill unchanged.
