Kraft Heinz Assessment Games: What the Postings Actually Say

Does Kraft Heinz use pymetrics? Yes outside the US — named in the employer’s own postings

Kraft Heinz’s own trainee and internship postings in the UK, Netherlands and Australia/New Zealand name "Pymetrics Games" and a "Pymetrics Video Interview" as the first two stages, and the Costa Rica 2027 posting lists "assessment Pymetrics"; the 2027 US and Canada postings describe the same step only as a "Games-Based Assessment" without naming the vendor, and Brazil uses a different vendor (Mindsight) entirely. So the honest answer depends on where you are applying. One caveat worth knowing before you prepare: every posting we verified that names pymetrics by name is from an earlier intake cycle and has since been taken down, and no live 2027-intake posting naming the vendor had appeared as of September 11, 2026. Treat the non-US flows below as the pattern Kraft Heinz has run, expected to repeat, rather than a stage list confirmed for your cycle. The provider named in your own invitation email is the only thing that settles it.

How the Kraft Heinz process works

Kraft Heinz runs early careers as regional programs on one global careers site, and the published stage list differs by region. Each flow below is dated to the intake cycle it came from, because the postings that name the vendor have expired:

  1. 1

Step 1 — Application plus a games-based assessment (every region except Brazil)

One application, one track. The 2027 US trainee and internship postings call this "Application and Games-Based Assessment" and do not name a vendor. The UK trainee posting for the September 2026 intake (listed autumn 2025) called the same step "Application & Pymetrics Games Assessment," the Australia 2026 Management Graduate posting called it "Application and Pymetrics Games," the Amsterdam internship posting called it an "Online Pymetrics game assessment," and the Costa Rica 2027 posting lists "Inscripción con assessment Pymetrics." The games arrive as a link after you apply, so expect them within days of submitting.

  2. 2

Step 2 (outside the US) — Pymetrics Video Interview

A brief pre-recorded one-way interview on the same platform, listed as Step 2 in the UK September-2026 and Australia 2026 postings and as an "Online Pymetrics video interview" in the Amsterdam internship posting. The 2027 US postings list no recorded video stage at all.

  3. 3

Step 2 (US and Canada) — Virtual interviews with business leaders

The 2027 US postings go straight from the games-based assessment to "Virtual Interviews with Business Leaders." In the 2026 Canada trainee cycle, the posting noted these would "begin in mid-September," which is roughly two weeks before the application window closed.

  4. 4

    English test (Latin America only)

The Costa Rica 2027 posting adds a "Prueba de inglés" after the pymetrics stage. Not part of the US, Canada, Europe or ANZ flows.

  5. 5

    Trainee and business interviews (Europe)

The UK September-2026 posting listed a "Trainee & Business Interview" between the video interview and the assessment day: a conversation with a former trainee about the program, then an interview with a senior employee over Microsoft Teams. The Amsterdam internship flow was a Teams screening interview followed by a hiring-manager interview, roughly four to six weeks end to end.

  6. 6

Assessment day (Europe, ANZ, Latin America — not a separate US stage)

The UK September-2026 posting listed an "Assessment Day" made up of a group assessment and a leadership interview on business and culture. The Australia 2026 posting put this in the Melbourne office (Auckland for New Zealand). The Costa Rica 2027 posting lists "Escape Room + entrevista con el equipo de People." That escape room is a branded online build; its vendor describes the Kraft Heinz version as part of the Student & Graduate Program onboarding experience rather than a scored selection gate, so treat it as a team exercise and do not assume it carries a grade.

  7. 7

Panel with senior leaders (Europe, ANZ, Latin America)

The UK September-2026 posting ended with a "Panel Interview with Leaders." The Australia 2026 posting ended with a "Panel presentation to our Executive Leadership Team," then an offer. Costa Rica ends with a "Panel final con la alta dirección de la compañía." The US and Canada flows have no panel stage; their final round is the on-site day.

  8. 8

Step 3 (US and Canada) — Final on-site interview day

The 2027 US postings finish with a "Final On-Site Interview Day at our Chicago Headquarters"; the Canada equivalent is at the Toronto headquarters. The exception is the 2027 US Manufacturing Internship in Fremont, Ohio, which ends with a "Final Virtual Interview Day with Operations Leadership." Kraft Heinz does not publish the format of the on-site day.

The Kraft Heinz Trainee Program posting for the UK (London, September 2026 intake) set out five steps: "Application & Pymetrics Games Assessment," "Pymetrics Video Interview," "Trainee & Business Interview," "Assessment Day," and "Panel Interview with Leaders." The posting was removed on October 18, 2025.

The 2027 US Trainee Program process is three steps: application and games-based assessment, virtual interviews with business leaders, final on-site interview day at the Chicago headquarters. The posting names no assessment vendor.

The Costa Rica Global Trainee Program 2027 lists its stages as "Inscripción con assessment Pymetrics; Prueba de inglés; Escape Room + entrevista con el equipo de People; Entrevista con el liderazgo; Panel final con la alta dirección," starting January 2027, with applications open until October 5, 2026.

Brazil is the exception. The official Trainee Global Kraft Heinz 2027 site lists "Testes Mindsight," not pymetrics, in a flow of application, English leveling, Mindsight tests, group dynamics, English proficiency plus an HR interview, a leadership interview and a business panel. Applications ran August 4 to September 11, 2026.

Kraft Heinz publishes no list of which individual pymetrics games it uses, in any region. Candidate reports and prep guides describe the standard pymetrics platform, commonly given as about 12 short games in roughly 25 minutes, but that figure traces back to a prep site rather than to Kraft Heinz.

Kraft Heinz’s careers portal has pymetrics stages configured in its applicant-tracking system, but that configuration is shared site-wide across requisitions and is not proof that any particular job uses it. The US postings themselves say only "Games-Based Assessment," so treat the US vendor as strongly implied rather than stated by the employer.

The lineage: in January 2020 Kraft Heinz’s head of talent acquisition for EMEA described using pymetrics games for trainee hiring, reporting that the share of business-degree trainee hires fell from around 70% to around 50%, with roughly 40% engineers.

Kraft Heinz’s International Talent Marketplace Director spoke at a 2023 Harver event about using data to demand diversity in trainee hiring, and Harver (which owns pymetrics) presents its gamified assessments in the same write-up. This is supporting context only — it is not a vendor statement that Kraft Heinz is a customer of that product.

What changed recently

Staleness is the main risk on this page. Every Kraft Heinz posting we verified that names pymetrics by name has expired: UK removed October 18, 2025, Amsterdam internship removed November 18, 2025, Australia removed April 28, 2025. As of September 11, 2026 no live 2027-intake posting naming the vendor had appeared, so the non-US stage lists are expected to repeat rather than confirmed.

The US and Canada postings have dropped the old "International Management Trainee Program" branding and now read simply "Trainee Program," while Latin America and Asia use the KHTP and GMT program names. The 2027 US stage list is unchanged from 2026.

What candidates report

Candidate reports on Glassdoor describe the one-way video stage as roughly four to five questions with about three minutes to prepare and three minutes to answer each, with a re-record allowed. These are candidate-submitted, undated, and were not directly retrievable, so treat the format as indicative rather than fixed.

Glassdoor (candidate-submitted, search snippets only)

Recurring question themes in those same reports: tell us about yourself, your biggest success, your biggest challenge, and your favorite Kraft Heinz brand or product and why. This is not a Kraft Heinz question bank — it is what a handful of candidates remembered.

Glassdoor (candidate-submitted)

One candidate report from an EMEA trainee cycle mentions a balloon-pumping game. That is a single anecdotal mention and the only game any source names, which is why this page does not publish a battery list for Kraft Heinz.

Glassdoor EMEA Trainee Program report (candidate-submitted)

European candidates repeatedly describe long silences between stages, sometimes weeks. The postings themselves note that strong candidates move through the steps while the application window is still open, so applying early matters more than the deadline does.

Kraft Heinz pymetrics FAQ

Does Kraft Heinz use pymetrics in 2026?

Outside the US, its own postings say so. The UK trainee posting for the September 2026 intake, the Australia 2026 Management Graduate posting, an Amsterdam internship posting and the Costa Rica 2027 Global Trainee posting all name pymetrics in the stage list. The 2027 US and Canada postings describe the same first step only as a "Games-Based Assessment" and name no vendor, and Brazil’s 2027 program uses Mindsight tests instead. Every posting that names pymetrics has now expired, so confirm the provider in your own invitation email.

Which pymetrics games does Kraft Heinz use?

Kraft Heinz does not publish a game list, in any region. It says only that the games assess "cognitive, social, and behavioral traits" with "no right or wrong answer." Candidate reports and prep guides describe the standard pymetrics platform, commonly given as about 12 short games in roughly 25 minutes, but that number traces to a prep site rather than to Kraft Heinz, and only one candidate report names any individual game. The safe preparation is to be fluent in the whole standard battery so no instruction screen is new to you — practice all twelve free at /pymetrics/digits, /pymetrics/keypresses, /pymetrics/faces, /pymetrics/stop, /pymetrics/arrows, /pymetrics/towers, /pymetrics/balloons, /pymetrics/cards, /pymetrics/easy-or-hard, /pymetrics/lengths, /pymetrics/money-exchange-1 and /pymetrics/money-exchange-2.

When do I get the Kraft Heinz assessment link, and what is the deadline?

The games are bundled with the application as Step 1, so expect the link shortly after you submit. US 2027 applications are accepted through October 2, 2026, with the trainee program starting July 12, 2027 and the internship running June 7 to August 13, 2027. The Mexico and Costa Rica Global Trainee Programs close October 5, 2026 for a January 2027 start. Brazil’s 2027 window ran August 4 to September 11, 2026. Deadlines for the 2027 Canada, European, ANZ and MBA cycles had not been published as of September 11, 2026.

Is there a video interview, and is it HireVue?

Outside the US, the second stage is a "Pymetrics Video Interview," a brief pre-recorded one-way interview on the same platform. The 2027 US postings list no recorded video stage at all. Kraft Heinz used HireVue on-demand interviews for US campus hiring in the 2019 to 2020 era, and some guides still repeat that, but whether any recorded video step remains in the US today is unconfirmed.

What happens after the games?

In the US and Canada, two more stages: virtual interviews with business leaders, then a final on-site interview day at the Chicago or Toronto headquarters, with the Fremont, Ohio manufacturing internship ending in a virtual interview day with operations leadership instead. In Europe, ANZ and Latin America, the pattern has been a video interview, then trainee and business interviews, then an assessment day with a group exercise and an online escape room, then a panel with senior leaders. Kraft Heinz does not publish the format of the US on-site day.

Am I scored on the escape room or on Kraft Heinz brand knowledge?

Not something we can tell you, and that is worth being honest about. The Costa Rica posting and the UK manufacturing traineeship do put an online escape room in the assessment day, but the vendor that built it describes the Kraft Heinz version as part of the Student & Graduate Program onboarding experience for people already hired, not as a scored selection gate. Treat it as a team exercise. Knowing the local brand portfolio is sensible preparation for any food company interview, but no source shows it being graded.
