Which Disney roles and programs does this guide cover?

Connect your interest in entertainment to the advertised work: analyzing audiences, supporting guests or coordinating projects. These are preparation examples, not predicted interview questions.

UK 12-month internships

For the 2027 intake, the programme requires study at a UK or Ireland university, return to education in autumn 2028, UK work rights and availability from June 2027. Applicants choose one opportunity and submit a CV with an approximately 400-word cover letter.

What happens in the Disney hiring process?

UK internships: follow the hiring manager’s brief

Disney’s current programme links to its October 2023 preparation guidance.

  1. 1The manager explains the next stage.
  2. 2Possible formats include interviews, group work, presentations or another test.
  3. 3Read the supplied instructions before beginning.

College Program: manage the interview invitation

Disney’s interview resource page explains the current scheduling arrangements and where to track progress.

  1. 1Keep the confirmation email: it contains the Teams meeting details, appointment and rescheduling options.
  2. 2If you need another appointment, use the scheduling options before the existing interview time. Disney says missing that rescheduling deadline removes a candidate from consideration.
  3. 3Check the candidate dashboard for application status and the record of communications.

How to prepare for the Disney assessment process

These practice suggestions should be adapted to the advertised role and your invitation.

1. Connect your interest to a business problem

Choose one relevant Disney product or service and explain how the advertised team contributes to it. For a commercial role, consider audience, distribution and measures of success; for an operational role, consider service consistency and clear communication.

2. Build evidence from ordinary responsibilities

Choose examples of meeting a deadline, resolving a disagreement and learning something unfamiliar. Disney’s behavioral advice favors concise STAR structure. Spend most of the answer explaining your own decisions, then give the result and what you learned.

3. Practice the reasoning behind your answer

For potential UK reasoning sections, explain why an answer follows from the information. Practice distinguishing a supported conclusion from an assumption, and make units and percentage bases explicit in calculations.

4. Rehearse a real conversation

Have a practice partner interrupt with a follow-up about your contribution or tradeoff. This exposes memorized answers that sound fluent but lack detail. Test your camera and microphone separately so the rehearsal can focus on communication.

Disney assessment FAQ

Does every Disney applicant take an online test?

Disney’s general guidance establishes no universal test requirement. UK internships explicitly include a blended assessment; follow your application’s own process.

What tests can UK internship applicants receive?

Possible sections cover personality and verbal, logical or numerical reasoning. Check your invitation for the combination.

Is the College Program interview still by phone?

Current August 2026 guidance specifies an on-camera Microsoft Teams interview with a recruiter. Follow the current invitation if older preparation material describes a phone call.

Does Disney use HireVue or Arctic Shores?

Neither is established as a company-wide provider by the reviewed sources. Teams is confirmed for College Program interviews; scheduling is a separate service.

How should I answer Disney behavioral questions?

Use a specific past example, explain your responsibility and actions, and state the outcome. Disney recommends STAR and favors concise answers focused on your own contribution.
