SHL Numerical practice
Read the business data, calculate the missing values, and build your answer in a chart. Practice costs, percentages, changing rates and forecasts. A calculator and paper are welcome.
Before you start
- Use only the information supplied. Check units and rounding instructions; a calculator and paper are allowed.
- Set every chart value using the handles, sliders or number boxes, then select Submit answer. Only submitted charts count.
- In this practice, you move forward only. Skip question records no answer and cannot be undone.
- The 18-minute clock runs continuously, including background tabs and reloads. There is no pause or separate time limit for each question.
When time ends, an unsubmitted selection is recorded as unanswered. Your answers and explanations appear after you finish.
These original chart exercises use fixed editorial sequencing. They do not reproduce SHL’s adaptive algorithm or the separate multiple-choice Numerical Ability test.

Delivery costs
A distributor compares the cost of its delivery routes. Each route runs 20 days per month. Fuel is the only variable cost. Fixed monthly costs already include driver pay.
| Route | Fuel per day | Fixed monthly cost | Deliveries per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| North | $60 | $2,400 | 120 |
| Central | $90 | $1,800 | 180 |
| South | $45 | $2,700 | 150 |
Set each bar to the total cost per delivery, in dollars. Include both fuel and fixed costs.
