  3. 3Vacancy-specific tests — Check the assessment list in your invitation; it can depend on the assignment.
  4. 4References and client interview — Final candidates can progress to references and the hiring company’s interview before an employment agreement.

What to expect in the StudentConsulting assessment

No universal StudentConsulting game set is established. Identify the format in your own invitation before selecting supplier-specific practice.

Good to know: A Nordic recruitment agency can use different methods for different clients. Do not treat an assessment from one vacancy, or an older supplier brochure, as the exact current test for your application.

Which StudentConsulting roles and programs does this guide cover?

StudentConsulting can be your recruiter, your employer on an assignment, or the route into a job with a client company. Establish that relationship first: it affects whose work you should research and who will conduct later interviews.

The process below uses official Swedish and Norwegian guidance. A separate 2023 teacher-staffing brochure provides a dated assessment example; it does not establish a current test battery for every country, client or role.

Direct recruitment into a client company

StudentConsulting can manage all or part of a recruitment assignment, including interviews, tests and references. For direct recruitment, the successful candidate negotiates and signs with the client employer.

Consultant employment

The Swedish recruitment guide distinguishes consultant employment, where the agreement is with StudentConsulting, from direct employment with the client.

Not restricted to students

The Swedish FAQ welcomes applicants beyond current students. However, if an advert specifically requires a student, that condition must be met.

How does the StudentConsulting assessment work?

A dated teacher-staffing example

StudentConsulting’s 2023 substitute-staffing brochure describes personality and skills tests alongside interviews and references, with screening at initial selection. This concerns the brochure’s school-staffing service and is historical context, not a universal 2026 battery.

Tests are also confirmed in Norwegian guidance

Official source

The Norwegian direct-recruitment page says recruiters conduct interviews, tests and reference checks before presenting suitable candidates to the client company. It does not specify which tests apply to an individual vacancy.

Current supplier and retake rules are unresolved

No evidence found

The reviewed general candidate guidance does not name a universal testing supplier, time limit, pass mark or retake allowance. Check the instructions for your assignment before selecting provider-specific materials.

Additional checks depend on the client

Official source

The Swedish privacy policy describes possible background checks for assignments with higher security requirements and notes that assessment results may be processed during recruitment. It does not make every check mandatory for every role.

What happens in the StudentConsulting hiring process?

The published Swedish interview route

StudentConsulting’s candidate guide sets out the following sequence. A particular client assignment may add requirements.

  1. 1Apply through your account; the initial review compares your application with the role requirements.
  2. 2Candidates who progress receive a short phone interview and may then meet a StudentConsulting recruiter.
  3. 3Final candidates provide references and may interview with the client company.
  4. 4The guide describes email outcomes after initial screening and phone contact for interviewed candidates who are unsuccessful.

Prepare for the client as well as the recruiter

Direct recruitment can involve StudentConsulting’s assessment before presentation to the hiring company. These are original preparation suggestions.

  1. 1Write down what the client needs someone to do, the required skills and the practical conditions such as location and availability.
  2. 2Give the recruiter concise evidence that you meet those conditions; use the client interview for deeper examples of how you would perform the work.
  3. 3For an invented customer issue, practice acknowledging the problem, asking for the missing facts and explaining the next action without making an unsupported promise.
  4. 4Keep your application dates and examples consistent across both conversations.

How to prepare for the StudentConsulting assessment process

Use the assessment instructions to decide whether reasoning practice is relevant. The following exercises develop general skills and work examples; they are independently authored and are not StudentConsulting test questions.

1. Practice precise reading

Use a short neutral policy or instruction paragraph. Separate statements directly supported by the text from assumptions that sound plausible. Explain which sentence supports each answer before adding time pressure.

2. Practice deductions from explicit rules

Create a few simple scheduling or ordering constraints and work through what must follow. Check each option against all the rules instead of relying on a visual guess. This develops a general skill without assuming the real test’s interface.

3. Answer behavior questions consistently and honestly

Read whether the questionnaire asks about work, study or general behavior. Use that context throughout. Prepare real examples of reliability, teamwork and feedback for later discussion rather than trying to infer a preferred personality.

4. Prepare practical details and references

Know your availability, location constraints, relevant qualifications and experience dates. Have accurate reference details ready and make sure the people you list know they are references. Test the device you will use before starting a timed task.

StudentConsulting assessment FAQ

Do I need to be a student to apply?

Not for every vacancy. Read the advert carefully because some positions specifically require ongoing study.

Which company would employ me?

That depends on the arrangement. Consultant assignments and direct recruitment have different contracting relationships; check the vacancy and offer.

Does StudentConsulting use Aon or cut-e?

The current general candidate guidance reviewed here does not identify a universal supplier. Use your invitation for provider confirmation; historical materials cannot establish the provider for your application.

Can I repeat a StudentConsulting test?

No universal retake policy is established in the reviewed general guidance. Check your vacancy and invitation before assuming a repeat attempt is available.

Where can I see my application status?

The Swedish FAQ directs candidates to the Applications area of their logged-in profile. Status and test completion are separate things, so also check any assessment confirmation.
