What to expect in the Cushman & Wakefield assessment

No specific game or aptitude-test lineup is sufficiently established here to justify a simulator match. Begin with interview preparation and the requirements of your role. If you receive an assessment link, distinguish the test title from the application portal or meeting software.

Good to know: Use any test practice only after confirming the format in your invitation. This guide does not turn the published recruiter-and-interview overview into a promise that additional assessments cannot occur.

Which Cushman & Wakefield roles and programs does this guide cover?

Start by identifying the service line and entry route on your vacancy. An application for commercial property, building surveying, sustainability or an operational role deserves a different set of examples. Preparation is more useful when it explains the work you want to do and the client problem that work solves.

The sections below separate published recruitment information from preparation suggestions. An additional exercise in an invitation takes priority over a broad careers overview; the absence of a named test on that overview does not establish that assessments are never used.

UK graduate pathways

The graduate page welcomes different degree backgrounds and distinguishes commercial rotations from specialist pathways. Project management and building surveying, for example, remain within their divisions. Select examples that fit the pathway rather than treating every graduate job as a general commercial rotation.

UK internships

The UK internship is described as four weeks beginning in June, with exposure to team work and the possibility of progressing to the graduate programme depending on performance. A possible conversion is not a guaranteed job offer.

UK apprenticeships

The apprenticeship page describes a five-year Level 6 Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship, combining a real-estate undergraduate degree with employment. Preparation should therefore cover both the occupation and your plan for managing study alongside work.

How does the Cushman & Wakefield assessment work?

A published European interview format

Official source

European early-careers guidance names an interview with the hiring manager, lasting 30–45 minutes and held online or in person. This is regional guidance, not a guaranteed schedule for every vacancy.

Skills matter beyond prior employment

Official source

The European internship guidance emphasizes analyzing information, communication, adaptability and willingness to learn, and says previous work experience is not expected. University projects, volunteering and other responsibilities can therefore provide relevant evidence.

Professional accreditation is a different assessment

Official source

UK graduate pathways support professional development toward the Assessment of Professional Competence, including RICS-related routes. The APC mentioned on those pages is a professional qualification milestone, not a pre-employment online aptitude test.

What happens in the Cushman & Wakefield hiring process?

The published general hiring process

The applicant-resources page gives this broad sequence; use the local invitation for details.

  1. 1Apply online and track the application in Candidate Home.
  2. 2Discuss the position with a recruiter.
  3. 3Meet the hiring team; the page describes one to three team members.
  4. 4If selected, complete the offer, applicable pre-employment requirements and onboarding.

How to prepare for the Cushman & Wakefield assessment process

Build your preparation around the selected job. The following exercises are suggestions for demonstrating relevant thinking, not claimed interview questions.

1. Explain one local property decision

Choose a property type relevant to the team and outline a realistic owner or occupier decision. Identify demand, location, income or cost considerations, and one uncertainty that could change your recommendation. Keep the explanation understandable to a client.

2. Match your examples to the pathway

For a surveying pathway, prepare evidence of careful observation and clear reporting. For project management, explain how you organized work against time and resource constraints. For sustainability, distinguish a measurable improvement from an attractive but untested proposal.

3. Practice explaining evidence

Take a small table or chart from a public property-market report. Summarize its message, state the period and geography, and identify what the data cannot tell you. This is general analytical preparation rather than a confirmed numerical test.

4. Make your contribution visible

Prepare examples of a difficult team decision, a mistake you corrected and a new skill you learned. Separate what you personally did from the overall team result, and be ready to explain what you would change next time.

Cushman & Wakefield assessment FAQ

Does Cushman & Wakefield use HireVue, SHL or games?

A single current supplier or game set is not established by the official pages reviewed. Check your invitation for a named assessment; application software alone does not identify the test provider.

Is the UK APC an application test?

The APC described on the graduate and apprenticeship pages relates to professional qualification after gaining relevant experience. It should not be confused with an online recruitment assessment.

Do I need a real-estate degree for the UK graduate programme?

The programme page welcomes different degrees and mentions possible support for a real-estate master’s degree. Always check the qualifications attached to your particular vacancy.

Should I prepare a property case even if no case is listed?

A short, self-directed property exercise can help you explain your interest and reasoning. Treat it as practice; do not assume a formal case study will be part of the selection process.
