The documented online work is strengths assessment and recorded job simulation. No named cognitive game is sufficiently established here to recommend an employer-specific simulator.
Start with the particular MBDA UK function and site. A software placement, manufacturing apprenticeship and commercial graduate role need different evidence of interest, even when they share selection stages. The published UK process should not be transferred automatically to recruitment in other MBDA countries.
This guide concentrates on what candidates can prepare: describing their strengths, responding to work situations, explaining relevant technical reasoning and contributing to a team. A platform support link is not evidence that every MBDA assessment uses the same supplier or test.

The placement route is for penultimate-year university students and normally lasts 12 months. Function-specific work may stay in one area or span two placements, so connect academic experience to the actual advertised department.

MBDA lists business, engineering, software and manufacturing apprenticeships with qualification requirements differing by level. Its published selection flow also includes both online assessment parts and a virtual center.

Part one assesses strengths and produces a personal report. Part two comprises three recorded responses to work scenarios. Completing part one once is sufficient when applying to multiple roles.

For graduates, undergraduates and summer placements, the center interview includes role-relevant technical questions. MBDA describes up to 20 minutes of technical discussion within a 55-minute interview.

The center includes a timed group task using written information, during which candidates also record short videos. It also provides opportunities to meet the department and current early-career employees.

MBDA’s general interview advice describes role-specific and scenario questions, with interest in motivation, experience and values. It is useful for experienced applicants but does not promise the early-careers online stages.
The assessment-center page links to Cappfinity technical support. That does not identify the complete online test suite, a public pass mark or named games for every applicant.

The published event is a morning virtual session; the invitation supplies the individual timetable.

The general interview guide is dated 2023 and remains useful preparation context, rather than a new universal process guarantee.
Keep the programme recruitment calendar separate from an assessment invitation’s completion deadline.
| Cycle | Application dates | Likely assessment window | Evidence |

| September 2027 graduate entry | The programme page says applications open mid-September 2026; check the individual vacancy | Use your invitation | Official source The reviewed page advertises the next programme cycle, but does not provide one closing date for all functions. Use practice to make your explanations more precise. The following exercises are preparation suggestions, not predicted MBDA questions.
Choose a university, work or personal project. Explain the objective, constraints, your decisions and how you checked the result. For engineering roles, prepare to defend assumptions and discuss one design alternative.
Write a short explanation linking the advertised work to a skill you have enjoyed developing. Distinguish your interest in national security work from your interest in a particular discipline, such as controls, software or procurement.
Give yourself a fictional task with incomplete information and competing priorities. Record a concise response stating what you would establish first, who you would involve and how you would judge success.
Practice summarizing a brief, proposing a next step and inviting another person’s evidence. Aim to improve the group’s decision rather than simply speak frequently. Leave time to check the proposed answer against the task.
The official UK sources reviewed do not establish HireVue games. They describe strengths assessment, recorded job simulations and a virtual center.
For graduate, undergraduate and summer-placement applicants, MBDA explicitly includes technical questions relevant to the role.
The published broad stages are similar, but entry criteria and role content differ. Do not assume the graduate technical-interview detail applies to every apprenticeship.
Use the role and scenario interview guidance, plus the invitation. Prepare concrete examples of decisions, collaboration and relevant expertise; the early-careers assessment flow is not a universal experienced-hire policy.
