No game-based assessment is evidenced, in any region
No evidence foundWe searched specifically for pymetrics, Arctic Shores and Aon/cut-e game batteries at Bank of America and found nothing: no official page, no vendor case study, no candidate report and — notably — not even a prep-site claim. Bank of America's own application-process page, hiring-process page and hiring FAQs contain no mention of games or gamified assessment, and the Modern Hire tenant's configuration payload contains no game references either. Preparing for a Bank of America game battery would be preparing for something nothing suggests exists.

HireVue is named by Bank of America — for the video interview only
Official sourceBank of America's video-interview guidance tells candidates to "make full use of this time to get accustomed to the HireVue platform". That naming covers the recorded video interview and nothing else. HireVue also sells game-based assessments to other employers; there is no evidence Bank of America uses them, so treat "Bank of America uses HireVue" as a statement about the video stage, not about a battery of games.

Two live HireVue-family tenants confirm the vendor relationship
Official sourcevideointerview.bankofamerica.hirevue.com is a Bank of America-branded HireVue tenant that responds in production. Separately, bankofamerica.modernhire.com serves a login page whose embedded configuration names Bank of America as the client and points at HireVue application infrastructure. That proves a current HireVue-family tenancy; it does not reveal which assessment modules are configured, and it shows no game content.

The video interview timings come from Bank of America itself
Official sourceThe bank publishes 30 seconds to prepare a response and up to three minutes to respond. The number of questions is not published. Candidate accounts commonly describe three to five questions at around two minutes each, and the count appears to vary by program and cycle — so plan to the official clock and treat the count as reported.

Bank of America does not publish how video responses are evaluated
No evidence foundSecondary sources describe recruiter review of the recordings. Bank of America makes no statement about automated scoring, and the live tenant reveals no scoring configuration, so treat automated scoring as unconfirmed either way. Practically, this changes nothing about preparation: answer to the clock, structure your examples, and speak to a camera rather than to a script.

Assessments are role-dependent, and the provider is never named
Official sourceThe EMEA campus process says candidates "may also be asked to complete exercises and assessments to measure key aptitudes", and the professional hiring-process page repeats "You may also be asked to complete exercises and assessments to measure key aptitudes and values." The candidate FAQ adds "Some roles require an assessment." Bank of America publishes no provider, no test name, no question count and no pass mark — and it does not say that every role is tested.

Prep-site claims of SHL tests do not survive checking
Single sourceSeveral prep sites assert numerical, verbal, logical and situational-judgment tests for Bank of America, and some credit SHL. No official page, vendor case study or candidate invitation confirms this. The sources copy each other rather than corroborating independently, and one of them is self-contradicting: PracticeAptitudeTests states that Bank of America does not say who builds its tests on the same page where it gives specific question counts and timings. We do not repeat those figures here, because the source that supplies them disclaims the knowledge they would require.

The retake window is six months, and results are not shared
Official sourceThe hiring-process FAQs state: "In general, if you are unsuccessful on an assessment, you are eligible to retake the same assessment after six months." The same page says Global Talent Acquisition cannot share specific assessment results with candidates, so do not expect feedback explaining a rejection at this stage.

Review is rolling, and assessments start before the deadline
Official sourcePostings warn that "Assessments often begin before the deadline, so it's best to submit your application early", and programs close as positions are filled. Applying in the first weeks of a window is materially different from applying in the last, because the stage you are invited to may already be underway for earlier applicants.

The Modern Hire tenant, and what it does and does not prove
Official sourceModern Hire — the creator of the Virtual Job Tryout simulation assessments — was acquired by HireVue on May 9, 2023. The acquisition press release names FedEx, Charter Communications, Humana and Delta Airlines as customers; Bank of America is not among them. So the live bankofamerica.modernhire.com tenant confirms the tenancy at first hand while the vendor press release does not corroborate any specific assessment product being used.
