What the actual inventory involves

EEI’s CAST-R brochure describes a Work Preferences Inventory with 105 multiple-choice items and a 30-minute limit. It uses agreement ratings to assess preferred working style, behavior and environment. This page provides four original examples of using a rating scale; it does not reproduce that inventory. The actual WPI is part of an employer’s assessment. Our reflection prompts provide no employer answer key, fit score or hiring prediction. Southern Company notes that EEI does not offer WPI practice tests. See its testing guidance.

Check whether your invitation specifies CAST or CAST-R. The revised battery includes this work-preference component; the classic battery includes Mathematical Usage instead. Follow your employer’s instructions for the actual sections, timing and response controls.
